The purpose of the website is to provide up to date, accurate information on topics regarding the National Football League, the National Football League Players Association, and NFL players. In 2003, the United States Department of Labor reported that the NFL injury rate was eight times higher than that of any other commercial sports league. Many of these injuries linger long after a player’s NFL career has ended. This website focuses on the unique needs NFL players have throughout their lives.
The RetiredPlayers.Org website is maintained and operated by a former NFL player with the assistance of several retired and active NFL players. Many others contribute to the work done on the site as well.
